Market Day support
Thank you everyone for your support. Room 2 raised $147 for CARITAS. Thanks so much to my amazing helpers- Brendan's sister Grace, Gabriel's Mum Phonam, Josh's Mum Kate and our lovely librarian Mary Johnstone. I just couldn't have managed without them!
See you all at the Liturgy on Tuesday 6pm. Our class are angels, Dress your child in something white. Thursday is our Big Day out- make sure your child has/ hat /T-shirt to wear over their togs/ sunscreen/ drink/ lunch/jacket. We would love you to join us at the Waikanae pools.

Dear Room 2 Parents,
This term, as part of our Financial Literacy Inquiry, we
will be having a school wide
MARKET DAY on Friday
4th Dec (pm) time will be confirmed!
Each class will be making and selling special items and
crafts with the profit going to the charity chosen by each class. Room 2 will
be donating their money to CARITAS.
Room 2 will be making different flavoured popcorn.
We are also decorating boxes to put the popcorn in!
If you have any suitable boxes and decorations could you
send them to school.
We are also collecting lunch wrap /paper towel rolls.

Fireworks
I went to the fireworks they were colourful at my house.
They were colourful. I like fireworks.

Our
Inquiry topic is Dinosaurs- If the children are bringing books or
creatures to school please make sure that they are named!
Invitation- Please join
us for our Room 1&2 Liturgy. Monday 27 July, 2.15pm in Room 2. Our Theme is
‘Gods Beautiful World’.
Big
Air Gymnastics- Week 2. Each Monday morning we will be
travelling by bus to the venue in Tawa.
Week 2 is also Maori Language Week. We will be joining
the whole school for Te Reo activities.
Book
Week
begins on the 17 August. Special visitors will be reading to us and Friday 21
is Book Character’s Day. The children and staff dress up as our favourite
Book Character.
Friday 11th September:
2pm, Science Fair- visit our Assembly
to find out about our Science studies. Room 2 will be walking with the
dinosaurs!
Last term we were busy filming
our’ keeping safe in an earthquake’ video. Many thanks to Jemma (Michael’s Mum)
who helped with the filming and also to Phonam
(Gabriel’s Mum from Room 1!) who
rescued me and edited the video. You will see the video at our school production ‘Movie Night’ Thursday

Video Filming
Dear Parents,
Next week Room 2 will
be videoing a play which will be part of a school wide production in Term 3.
Can your child please
bring to school: one set of mufti clothes (named top and trousers or skirt ) in
a named plastic bag. Also if you have fire fighters helmets or uniforms can we
borrow them? Please name everything!
